Hello,
I saw this link Arduino board ups performance ante - 17 September 2014 - RS Components (SA) - Dataweek from last month, but haven't seen them for sale locally. This raises two big questions:
1> Aren't they supposed to be made in USA not South Africa ?
2> Are they truely released and shipping ?
Thanks for any replies, its been a long wait and the announcement (of the Tre) last year has been holding up my purchace of any board, knowing this is the one I want to spend my time developing on.
Hoping for good news,
Mark W.
Doesn't read to me as if they ship from here as such, more an implication that they're available here though.
Bit late now (gone 5pm and nobody stays late on Fridays) but I'll phone them tomorrow morning and ask. If they not open Saturday I'll call on Monday.

Arduinos are not made in the US. The official ones are made in Italy.

Closed on Saturday, I'll call again on Monday.
Right, after a few emails back and forth it seems the Tre is not in their catalogue. I suspect the press release was premature.
And now an email admitting the press release was wrong and should have been of a "coming soon" nature.
Thanks for calling them Jimbo, sorry it wasn't better news. At least we know that the distribution channels are 'chomping at the bit' (eagerly awaiting the call to go).
I appreciate your effort,
Mark
