I bought a board (nano) directly from Arduino's Store recently for the first time. I was quite taken aback that the items available in the Store seem to have multiplied!
Lots of new stuff, lots of older (yet still popular) boards, such as the Micro, Due, and a Yun 2! And it also looks like Arduino is carrying "Grove" items, which I thought belonged to Seeed Studio. Did they buy the brand?
I also recently noticed some new products. I think it's a good move as long as their fulfillment and support infrastructure can handle it. They sell quite a few products made by other manufacturers, including Adafruit and Teensy, so I very much doubt they bought the Grove or Seed Studio brand.
Based on some stories here, I was trepidatious about ordering from them, but I took a chance and ordered a nano (after being disappointed with an OSEPP nano I bought at the local Fry's.) It got here in less than a week! I'll definitely give buying from store.arduino.cc another shot.
I've also seen some posts here that make me wonder about the quality of the store support but we should keep in mind that people only are going to post here when they have a bad experience, which might not even be the fault of the store support (e.g. email replies lost in the customer's spam filter). The boards I got from Arduino arrived quickly and with no problems so I haven't had any cause to contact store support.
My only gripe with the Arduino store is that they are often out of stock on the most popular Arduino boards for long periods of time. There are always boards available elsewhere but it makes me sad to see Arduino miss opportunities for income that would support the development work we all benefit from.
The store has expanded thats certain.
The prices have dropped a little overall too making them a little more attractive.
Placed a black Friday order which made it even cheaper.
My invoice also stated they had change the America outlet from BCMI to Arduino, LLC.
That would indicate other important changes we might be unaware of.
There are a couple more employees wandering the forums as well.
Not seem them much but they are there so another good sign that they take things a little more serious than we might think.

I'm very happy that a marketing person, Valencia I think is her name, is hanging here.
ballscrewbob:
... @Chris.
She is awesome and picks things up quite quickly and deals with them and her name is Valentina.
Methinks you are wanting more wine ?
Of course, Valentina. Italian wine, but is there any other kind?
