is it possable to have the arduino play a flash animation when a button is pressed? and if so, how do i do it??

Yes it is. Try searching the Arduino playground and this here forum for Arduino to Flash communication. There are plenty of examples out there.

Arduino Playground - Flash should keep you busy for a while. It was the first result when I Googled "arduino flash" (hint...)
