Is it possible to convert IR sensor to Photosensitive sensor

I have a few IR sensors, and photo resistors

Is it possible to convert my IR sensor into Photosensitive sensor module, using soldering

If yes, do I need to replace just receiver? Please see attached

You can modify the circuit any way you like. What do you actually want to do?

I would like to see, if it is possible to remove emitter and collector and replace with photo resistor, as both left and right look similar

How would you photo resistor emit any light?
Paul

That would depend on the details of the two circuits. Someone may have reverse engineered one or both, so if you can find schematic diagrams, post those. Also post a link to whatever it is that you have.

It would be cheaper and faster to just buy a module that serves your particular purpose, which you still have not described.

That sensor with the LDR has two outputs, an analog value proportional to the ambient light and a digital value depending on the setting of the potentiometer and the light level. Do you need both outputs?
