is it possible to save stopwatch times to SD card ?

Hey guys ! so ive recently built an arduino stopwatch

My question is would it be possible to save these times on an SD card (Im using intel galeo board which has an micro sd card slot).So the player would start the stopwatch and then when he presses stop and the LCD monitor displays his time is saved on the SD card and can be viewed later

Ive looked at some examples online and im kind of lost as the SD card data logger example uses sensors.here

Any reading material or examples would be appreciated

Thanks!

Yes it is possible. Post a link to the online examples as well as your code. Be sure to use code tags for the code.

Note that you might get more specific answers on a Galileo forum.

The sensors are irrelevant. The stopwatch data is just data, like the data from a sensor, and is recorded the same way. The only difference is that data from a sensor is usually recorded as part of a loop cycle, while that from a stop watch would be recorded at the push of the button, in more or less the same manner as you are probably already sending it to the LCD.

lcd.print(data);
myFile.print(data);

It really is that simple.

If you are using Arduino code, the datalogging examples in the IDE have the card tests, setup, and all you need. It's just a matter of when you print it, not what you print.
