I would use the first one. It looks like the board I have used.
However, the board I used can come with different types of software, and I have the MIDI Devices option. I don't see this as an option for the board you posted, so before purchasing it I would ask the vendor if the software can work in this mode. As trying to download the MIDI Devices software from my original link might not work, due to the different hardware your link has, like the serial chip.
The second is based on the MAX3421E, chip and I have come across some concerns about a bug in the actual chip.
