Is STM32 worth it?

I'm quite happy with the STM32F746 demo board, which for $55 has a really nice 472x280 VGA TFT/Touch screen display, 384K RAM/1M Flash, 200 MHz clock, etc. The Arduino core supports all the features of interest to me and the forum is still active.

Only one of the STM32 cores fully supports the display and touch screen, and it is not the default. Use this core instead: GitHub - fpistm/Arduino_Core_STM32 at LTDC_TS_TEST_1.9.0

I have the same board. jremington, I have to try that core. thank you

Edit: Hah, I had that already in Arduino IDE preferences.
