is the accelerometer sensitive enough to feel counterforce

i want to make a project where i need to feel if the object makes an counterforce against the way it should rotate. the movement is "L" shaped stick that rotateds around the long side of the "L" and the short is to feel the object (like a feather that a human while turning wouldn't feel). Can the accelerometer feel the speed difference while turning(rotating) or is there a proper(better) way to feel(measure) the difference(in speed or force) with other sensors or combinations of sensors

Google for a "rotary torque sensor".
