Hi there, please forgive my ignorance, this is my first post on this forum. I am an engineering student in South Africa, unfortunately we do not have the hobbyist and engineering enthusiast culture down here, that the USA and other parts of the world seem to have. I am about to order myself my first Arduino. My question is this: In terms of coding, is the Arduino Mega more difficult to code than others that are based on the Atmega328? Other that the port pins being different, can one use example code written for other Arduinos on the Mega? Once again forgive my ignorance if these are silly questions, and thank you in advance to anyone who responds to my query.
Yes, the coding is identical, just more program, sram and eeprom memory space. There are differences in pin assignments for things like I2C etc. I think all the Arduino supplied libraries handle the mega conversions fine, however some user contributed libraries do or might not.

Thanks very much for your response Lefty, that gives me a lot more confidence and I will definitely be ordering the Mega, I can't wait
