Is there a way to send data from weight checker scale to CIJ (continuous inkjet)

I am working in Food Factory and now we are buying Videojet1280. The Factory manager want to send data from weight checker to CIJ and print them on package

The CIJ has USB/ Ethernet port and the weight checker has USB; serial; parallel; FTP Ethernet; Modbus.

Do you have user manuals for the devices you are using?

I only have the brochure for now. the weight checker support RS485/ Modbus TCP/IP

the printer supports USB, RS232, TCP/IP. Is it too fast to jump to the conclusion that there might be a way to send weight data from the weight checker to a printer via a middle connection such as Arduino/ Computer?

From my research, some programs help connect 2 devices to send data via a serial port. where should I start learning this area?

I wouldn't be surprised if the device was not very flexible and configurable, it is normal for these kind of systems to be embedded in automated production lines.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any detailed information on what software interface might be available, in order to get such information one would have to enquire through their sales channels.
