I am building a spinning wheel that has a buttload of Leds on them, I can get a 60hz+ framerate on the leds, so the result should be very interesting. I am wondering though, how I can get some power and data lines to the spinning wheel? I need 4 connections.

How about batteries and radio for the connection? If you really want a wired connection you'd need to make/find a suitable slipring system.

You can make your own slip rings with a plastic rod and some brass rings.
Or use a 3 ring and tip 3.5mm jack plug and socket, the sort used on smartphones.
