I'm looking for 7-10" touch screens for my projects display and I stumbled upon this: 10.4" Touch Screen.
It says its for Raspberry Pi, but I'm wondering if it will work with my Arduino Mega. Has anybody tried this screen with an Arduino? Will it work (If not, can someone recommend a 7-10" Arduino compatible touch screen?
???
It comes with a USB-A cable and the picture shows it plugged into the USB port of a laptop.
Assuming it is a USB device, you would need something like a USB Host Shield to drive it with an Arduino MEGA. It is likely that nobody has done it before so you would have to find the USB protocol it uses. It may also require more buffering than the MEGA can handle.
(I want the screen to display a Sci-fi like display. Something like this would be cool, but tailored to my needs. I would like to display the weather, time, internal temperature of the project box, some news articles, and have some interface buttons that trigger stuff like LEDs, relays, etc).
The specs:
1,1 HDMI signal input, and this IC supports HDMI1.2
2,Support 5V DC voltage input, you can also use USB or mobile power supply, but the positive and negative poles cannot be reversed to avoid damage to the circuit board
3,Driver board integrated LCD screen LED backlight driver board
4,Standard button board interface, and supports dual-color LED indicator display
5,Support TTL signal output
Compatible General 50PIN 1024*600 resolution interface TTL LCD screen
6,This drive board has four positioning holes
