Hey everyone, I have a really weird question.

I am in an art class that is using arduino boards to create art projects, and I had an idea for a project that looks for certain words on twitter and then has the arduino play a song through a sparkfun mp3 shield. I would love to make this, but I am not codes savvy nor am I that good with wiring the board.

Is there anyone who can tell me if this project is even possible, and beyond that, if someone like me could make it, with help on here and the other parts of the site?

That sounds like a project that would be much easier to implement on PC or on a Raspberry Pi.

Don't see why not.

There is a very similar project for the Raspberry Pi I did in this book:-

You need an internet connection either through an Ethernet shield or a Wi-Fi shield as well as your MP3 player.

This project claims to sample "the world's mood" by using an Arduino to read twitter and when certain English words are encountered, changing colors of a lamp. So, yes, your project is possible.
