ISP via X3 header

Hey all,

I noticed that the Arduino board has a header labeled "X3". I looked at the schematics and found that these are connected to the FTDI chip's various unused outputs. Since there are 4 unused digital outputs, is there a way to use them as an ISP programmer for OTHER Atmega chips? What I'm getting at here is that I want to use the Arduino board as an ISP programmer for my other Atmega chips that I have on a breadboard.

BTW this does not involved the arduino at all. Everything is handled in the FTDI chip.
