Issue regarding gldc 12864

when I am connecting power pins of my GLCD12864Txa12864 to arduino mega2560 the board is geting shorted.
What should I do?

Pin 1 to GND, pin 2 to 5V (from datasheet)
It looks very similar to the common 16x2 LCD
