Hi, i recently burnt out an old Uno, and cleared it from the Network devices list.... But, now i have a new Uno, and when i plug it in, no message pops up to allow for installation, can anybody help me?
I'm a noob too, so I could be incorrect, but on my mac whenever I plug in an Arduino I get a message...I ignore (cancel) it out...its just asking if you want to assign a different port to it, I think.
If I understand this correctly, Mac's dont need a driver for the uno or mega2560. Both work on my macbook pro without anything special...I fire off Arduino IDE (0023) and open the serial monitor and up pops the data stream from the already running UNO I programmed to read a SHT15 temp sensor.
Unless you are running something on your mac to obtain serial data, you may not need any drivers or special com port settings just to get things going first time.
hope this helps.
