Issues installing Plugin on Sierra

Unable to install the plugins for Mac OS Sierra (v. 10.12.6)
The message displayed: Problem running post-install setup. Installation may not complete correctly.
Error creating service ArduinoCreateAgent. Does anyone know the fix?

Hi @k0386,
are you the admin of your Mac? If not this can be the cause of your issue, let us know!

Also if you are the admin and your password is empty (no characters) this can create issues too, cause it is rejected by MacOX during the installation process when the popup is displayed

I'm having similar issue with plug in on my my book pro running OS 10.12.6 virsion. it looks like its installed, but the the web editor can't seem to detect it.

We have Sierra and everything is working here so I have a hard time replicating your issue. We can do 2 things:

  • please install Chrome and redo the getting started flow on that browser
  • if you still have issues please open the Browser Inspector, select the Console tab and send us a screenshot.
