Hello,
I am getting to grips with the ESP8266-01. I have it connected up to an external power source with a logic level converter between it and the Arduino.
I left it plugged in overnight transmitting data to thingspeak as a test to see how stable it was.
It transmitted data till about 2am and then stopped. When I arrived to see what was going on this morning the red power light was on and the blue light was blinking... everything looked normal.
I connected my Arduino to the computer and opened the serial monitor and suddenly it was transmitting data again! I am pretty confused by this as all I did was connect it to the computer - no reset, didn't switch it on and off, didn't upload any new code... just opened the serial monitor
Has anyone else experienced this?
