does anyone know where on this internet i can find a bootloader for atmega8a-pu that will will work on arduino 1.6.11 ? I have looked all over the place and just can not find one that will work on this version

Can't you just use another arduino to act as an ISP programmer and use the IDE?

i have a usbasb v2.0 works great i have no problem with any other board except atmega8a-pu

and the atmega8_noxtal bootloader is junk it does not work with this version of the IDE

What's the behavior you see to say it does not work?

I get error that says no valid hardware in this file plus it does not even show up in boards menu
i saw the error in the error box
