When using a mega with SFE compatible shields jump the following pings :

what do they mean by that ? Do i need to connect 51 with 11 and so on ?
Most modern shields make the SPI connections on the ICSP header, and so are compatible with Uno or Mega, etc. even though the SPI bus may be on different Arduino pins on those boards.

Not quite you need to connect to pin 51 instead of connecting to pin 11.
You will probably find a link on the edge of the board that is currently shorted out with a wire or blob of solder.
Remove that link and instead wire the side of the link NOT connected to pin 11 to pin 51.
