I love these guys but I never have enough. Is it possible to make your own any cheaper or is it best just to order a mess of them from China? Price seems pretty good for the work it would take to strip the wires and somehow add the end piece.

Agreed. It's also non-challenging work which most don't enjoy doing.

No way could you make them yourself cheaper!
You do need to test them all when you get them though!
