Very good example of thinking out of the box.
You could imagine the conversation,
"why dont we throw it over a wall,
no we will make it jump,
it might survive"
The only way it could get better is if they said there was an Arduino inside.
Better still would be if it were developed by Mexican researchers, and they revealed that there's a worm gear in the mechanism that winds up its jumping spring ;D
I can't rap my head around how it does that... I guess this will be the next big thing that everyone will try to emulate using an arduino (like what happened with the segway)
