Just Trying to Connect with Web Editor

I’ve tried Chrome and Firefox. I’m logged in, got my sketch ready to go, compiles nicely:

int ledPin = 13;

void setup() { pinMode(ledPin, OUTPUT); }

void loop() { digitalWrite(ledPin, LOW); delay(1000); digitalWrite(ledPin,HIGH); delay(1000); }

But it won’t connect to my Nano. I get this in the debug console (which means it’s connected and talking?)

time=“2017-07-28T21:52:02-05:00” level=info msg=""
time=“2017-07-28T21:52:02-05:00” level=info msg=""

So why in Sketch do I get an error? "Error Uploading, check if the selected board is currently available.

What do you have listed in the drop down menu for COM ports ?
Does that correspond with the port that the Nano is listed under in your computer ?

Also please use code tags when posting code ( </> )

Another useful post for using these forums is here

I have gone through the setup and my plugin is installed correctly.

When you say drop down menu for COM ports, to where are you referring? (At the top next to the upload and save button?) That seems to have them all listed. If you're talking about on the left for serial monitor, then there's nothing there.

Thank you for showing me the code button for proper editing.

int ledPin = 13;

void setup() {
  pinMode(ledPin, OUTPUT);
}

void loop() {
  digitalWrite(ledPin, LOW);
  delay(1000);
  digitalWrite(ledPin,HIGH);
  delay(1000);
}

Got it! It was plugged into a USB3 port, but when I switched to a USB2 the windows installer popped up and I got proper drivers installed!

Yay! I got a flashing light!

If you can attach any pictures of what you see in the drop down menus that would be great.
Pictures can be a PITA to attach as size does matter in here LOL.

There is a thread just for that topic HERE
