Could be, it's not uncommon. Sometimes they are other components re-labeled.
When I buy something from aliexpress I try to test it quickly. If it doesn't work as expected I reject it and they return the money intermediately without questions. Time to time I order to mouser or others, from a longer list to avoid shipping costs.
