Well that is a risk, but if a lot more people would join in with the practice then I would not have to plead my case.
At the end of the day it is not the be all and end all issue, just a bit of frosting on the cake.

IDK; I don't really care whether I'm being thanked, acknowledged etc. I like it if somebody posts back whether their problem is resolved somehow, so that future visitors can benefit from the solution.

To clarify, the rude bit was a reference to me not caring "a rodent's posterior" about being thanked/etc. I wasn't being rude to anyone, just expressing myself in a less than lady-like manner (and since I'm not a lady, I didn't give a rodent's posterior about not being recognized as one - hah!)
