Karma is increased when people click the "add" button next to your karma number. It is a way of thanking someone for a useful post. Most people ignore it, afaik.

I know it's zero but that was kind to point it out. I am new and I don't know were else to post it.

For future reference, the correct place to post it would have been the "Website and Forum" forum section.
