Made an installation using robotic arms with servo motors. Since running it for a few hours two of the tilt motors have gone wrong. Now, when I run the arm in question, it will move the arm lower, but not move the arm back up again. Can anyone deduce whats happened here?
As Roy in The IT Crowd would ask, "Have you tried turning them off and on again?" 8)
But more seriously, have you checked the linkages?- the joints and bearings and whatnot? Perhaps something's worn or bent and binding, but moving downwards with gravity in your favour it overcomes the sticking?
