Knock sensor trouble

I can't seem to get the knock sensor working, I have it all set up right..

(haha this is a very inexperienced person saying this, I can post pics if needed)

I have two one megaOhm in series, is that enough resistance?

That's really the only place that I see that this simple project could go wrong..unless the Analog read isn't working. Or my piezoelectric device isn't working. If i can use it as a speaker does that mean it will work as a mic?

i got it figured out. My piezo was blocked. I removed the enclosure and it worked alot better.

the resistor goes in parallel with the wires for the piezo, not in series.

Check around, there are some schematics on the web.
