I have connected 2 dc motors to a l298 driver. both motors are 12v 2A (wiper motors). I have provided 12V input to the l298 but the output to motor only shows 5v when i check with a voltmeter. I need it to be 9V-12V. How can i increase the output Voltage of l298?
There are some online instructions that mention electrical 'jumper' can be pulled out in order to supply raw motor voltage greater than 12 V DC. But if that is done, then the '5V' pin changes functionality, ie.....it becomes an input pin instead of an output pin........ and it will then require regulated 5 Volts to be fed to that '5V' pin (in order to power up the L298N logic circuitry).
