L298N motor drive controller

Hi everyone what am I doing wrong?

I am using a standard L298N dual H bridge motor controller https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014KMHSW6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

to control a uxcell 160 rpm 12v geared box motor https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0722GN8N9/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I can change direction and vary the speed with PWN but the torque is so low that it will not run with any load on it. Have I miss matched the components or maybe the PWM frequency is wrong? I am such a noobie and really appreciate your patience and help!!!!

//connect motor controller pins to Arduino digital pins

//motor one

int enA=10;
int in1=9;
int in2=8;

void setup()
{

  //set all the motor control pins to outputs
  pinMode(enA,OUTPUT);
  pinMode(in1,OUTPUT);
  pinMode(in2,OUTPUT);
}

void loop()
{
  //this function will run the motor in both directions at a fixed speed
  //turn on motor A
  digitalWrite(in1,LOW);
  digitalWrite(in2,HIGH);
  //set speed to 100 out of possible range 0~255
  analogWrite(enA,100);
}

Hi, Basic question: How much current does this draw at different loads? How much load are you applying?

What is your source of 12V? What are it's ratings?

in the event i may need to replicate your environment I ask the following questions: Which Arduino Board are you using? Which version of Arduino IDE are you using? What operating system are you using? Linux, MacOSX, MS Windows, other?

Do you having a wiring diagram?

How are you powering the motor? How is the motor mounted? What is connected to the Gear box shaft?

Can you post a photograph of the complete project?

A red flag is that there is no explicit Torque rating mentioned on the amazon.com page. given the physical size of the motor and gear box it is difficult to even guess at a possible Torque rating.

The Torque may be low if the motor is not receiving the proper power that it requires.
