Large amount of data and variables

Hi everyone,

I have a simple question.
We are planning to work with Arduino Cloud in a project that collects a big amount of data and stores it in the cloud. My question is : Is there any limit on the number of variables we can define in the cloud database ? is there a limit on the size of the data as well ?
If anyone has any idea please let me know.

Thank you.

some info here in the plans description (Maker and Maker plus have unlimited variables with up to 1 year of data retention)

but probably better to contact the Arduino's support team

Thank you.
I already contacted the support team but I haven't recieved a response yet.
I was hoping I could get an answer from someone who had the same issue before.

I'd say that it seems that with the Maker plus plan you have unlimited variables and 1 year of data retention. so seems to answer your question.

If you have specific needs and knowledge on how to develop internet services, I would compare that with alternatives where you are in charge of your own infrastructure. At some point the question will be what do you want to do with the data.

buy or build type of question

I have upgraded to the Maker plan and it clearly says on the 'Plans' webpage that the number of variables is unlimited for this plan. However, after creating a thing I was trying to test this. I added variables manually and when I reached 100 variables, it said that I reached the limit of my plan which was not expected.

Seems a call to support / billing would be appropriate

Yeah I will try to contact support.
Thank you.

If you can report back what they say - that might help others

Yeah will do !! Thanks for reminding me
