Why are you asking in an Arduino forum? Are you wanting to buy or sell? 24X36 is certainly not large. Look at the printers used by the people who print the graphics applied to buses and trucks, etc.

Around here it's mostly done with spray paint...
Cannon makes flatbed printers in 96"by120" size with 1440 DPI resolution. I'm guessing 99% of people who have enough 24x36 printing to do to justify building their own printer are not the people with the skills to build such a printer.
