Larger LCD similar to Nokia 5110

I am looking for larger display that is very power efficient and cheap (unlike e-paper). Ideal would be like Nokia 5110 liquid crystal monochrome display but larger resolution - 320x240 or higher Or some other displays I may not know about ) Maybe someone can recommend something.

Thanks!

I think oled is the next best, but any display can be made seriously power-efficient by turning it off when nobody is looking at it.

Oled is too small and expensive. I must display 'decent' graphs on device powered by a battery.

320x240 is already a huge step compared to 84x48 of the nokia display.

There are a lot of 128x64 LCD displays available for a good price: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/12864-128X64-Serial-SPI-Graphic-COG-LCD-Module-Display-Screen-Build-in-LCM/32859049214.html

The question is also, do you need a big size or a big resolution. One of the biggest LCDs available at the moment is here, but it still does not have 320x240: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/5-0-inch-20P-COG-Big-Size-256160-LCD-Module-ST75256-Controller-3-3V-5V-White/32820287940.html

Both of the above displays should be supported by U8g2

Resolutions above 128x64 are expensive. There are 2 inexpensive choices for your request:

1) HX1230 96x68, less than $2 each and uses 173uA when displaying static content 2) ST7920 / UC1701 128x64, around $4 each and uses 275uA when displaying static content

Above 128x64 there are plenty of manufacturers and choices, but they're not popular enough to be sold at low cost. Prices tend to start at $20 each.

I also wondered why industry won't make some very low powered monochrome amoleds which are better for graphics than lcds. I was actually thinking to program some cheaper amoled. Amoleds don't display black areas and save ton of power also white pixel brightness can be adjusted to super minimum and the quality would be superior to any displays we have... just a wish...
