How is the car supposed to see the laser pointer?
you mean car follow laser line? if so, use series of photo sensor (let's say about 10 sensor), then car run as long as laser dot is in center of series of photo sensors. You maybe need a motor to make series of photo sensor to find laser dot in verticle direction.
