Laser will not focus

Apologies if its the wrong section but it seemed most appropriate.

I have built a CNC laser engraver which worked exceptionally well for a short period of time but now the 2.5w blue laser will not focus to more than a thin blue line.

Checked the power supply 12V 5 amp which only supplies the laser and two computer fans used to blow across the board and suck fumes out of the other side closer to the laser.
That's fine

The rest of the CNC is powered by a 24v 10 A supply and works great so that's nothing to do with the laser.

Without more detail - looking at the photo of the beam target - I'd guess you've exceeded the duty cycle of the laser and cooked the cheap lens - or worse fractured the diode itself .
If you're lucky - you can buy replacements.

You could very well be correct as I did quite a long run sometime before that.

Have ordered both a new laser and a new lens anyway.
