i just installed arduino uno on my computer.
however, whenever i go to start the application, I get a message that says
an error occurred while starting the application
i shut the box, and then the arduino opens. the board seems to work fine, but i was just wondering why this sign always pops up

Which version of the software? What OS on the machine? Which version of java do you have installed? Have you reread the release notes for your OS?

OK, i'm totally new to arduino. But i'll try to answer your questions.
I have a windows 7 OS. It is the arduino alpha version.
And... since the application eventually starts, is it ok?
