Hi,
I 'm looking for the "Arduino" standard on pin spacing. I saw this thread http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,22831.0.html but no conclusion is derived in this thread.
So, is there a "standard" on distance between pin D7 and D8 from Arduino team?
Thanks
Hi Richard,
The accidental factor could be true. I go ahead and use 155 mils but would still like to invite comments from the core team.
I also don't understand the significance of the Arduino footprint with a jagged right edge; It decreases the yield of the PCB.
Thanks 'n' 73s,

I just downloaded the Ladyada's eagle library. There are three footprints for Arduino shield, all measure 160 mil between D7 and D8.
I downloaded Duemilanove and Uno ref designs and found the following:
- Duemilanove Ref Design - 160 mil
- Uno Ref Design - 160 mil
- Ladyada library - 160 mil
- Sparkfun Library - 150 mil
