Hi! The backlight is fully on but the writing is very dim. You can only see the written display from a certain angle and it is very dim.
do you have an I2C adapter on it?
if so, have you tried adjusting the round white potentiometer in the blue square?
Connect pin 3 of the LCD to ground through a resistor 1K to 330 or install a potentiometer to adjust contrast. Or you can, for testing, connect pin 3 of the LCD directly to ground.
