Hello I have a LCD screen that I would like to interface with the Arduino. It has 7 DB pins, LED Blacklight Anode/Cathode, Enable (falling edge) R/W, Register select: 0 = command 1 = data, Supply for LCD contrast Adjustment, 5v supply for controller, ad Ground. I'm still waiting for my Arduino should be here today. I've read the tutorial on interfacing the LCD but that only has like 2 wires. Would I need a IC for the DB Pins?

Serial IC's get the interface down to three wires and simplify the programming.
