LCD IIC/I2C module

Hello everone. How to connect LCD(2x16) IIC/I2C to Arduino, with wires, without using any Funduino or others. I used this scheme https://www.instructables.com/id/Make-an-Arduino-FM-Radio-using-TEA5767 . But the LCD is showing black squares. Maybe it`s code problem?

Did you try changing the contrast... some units have a little potentiometer on the backpack... like the blue thing in this picture.

Come on... just google it... so many examples out there and all the instructions needed to get it going... this is really basic.. GOOGLE

I tried and i found what i need everything, but i think code is bad. Can you check it?

check the contrast first.

wolframore:
check the contrast first.

how to do that?

saltis:
how to do that?

turn the little knob on the blue thingy on the I2C backpack that's attached the the back of your LCD.

I dont have lcd backback

Would you mind posting complete information. Post a schematic Model numbers or links to products and code. Please use appropriate tags as listed in how to use section of this forum.

saltis:
I don't have LCD backpack

Then you do not have an I2C display module unless it is a completely different one to those generally used here and shown in the project you cite. It indeed, does not use an I2C display module.
