Hello, I have followed this tutorial:http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/LiquidCrystal and when I have put the code on to my Arduino, there are no errors, but when I try and see if the LCD works, it is not on.

Where do those red and black wires go to. I don't see them getting to the display.
I am afraid that photographs are just about useless in diagnosing hardware connection problems as it is often impossible to actually determine what is wired to what. You could have at least used several colours of wires not just green and yellow and from the angle used it is impossible to see which LCD pins the wires are actually connected to anyway.
Do you see anything on the screen and does the screen contrast vary when you adjust the pot ?
