all of the wiring was right
Are you sure? If it was right, it should have worked.
What happend? Did it just go hot, no light, no nothing?
i was hoping if you could help
Only thing you have shown us is a picture of a LCD laying on a wire.
Would help a lot if you could show exactly how it is connected, a link to the tut (tutorial?) used, and some code. Without that we can only shoot blindfolded until we are out of ammo/patience.
what model it the LCD?
If the LCD goes hot when you poer on, normally is because you have mistaken a V+ pin with an V- pin, and when you connect it the current flows without problems, i suggest you to see the LCD tutorial at arduino.cc, is good and easy to follow.
But first of all power on your LCD without the connection to the Arduino, when you see the Backlight and a cursor or something like try the others and try first all the arduino digital pins with a LED, i just had a similar mistake and burn out 2 of the arduino pins...
I hope you will have more luck than me.
...mine it just got hot. all of the wiring was right ...
These are mutually exclusive.
