I have an old laptop broken, but with lcd screen ok. I wonder if it is possible use (LCD) with arduino to print some items as clock, calendar, maybe photos from sd card.

Such screens usually take 24bit EGB video input, and lack a framebuffer, Arduino doesn't have the memory or horse power to drive them (well
only in a low res monochrome I believe). However the newer Arduino Due may offer enough power.
