LCD on arduino doesn't work after rewiring

You must SOLDER the header strip to the LCD. Without solder the connections will not work.
Or just ask a friend to solder it for you.
If you still have a problem, post clear photos of the breadboard wires and the Uno wires.

If you don't have a soldering iron, buy a ready-made LCD with I2C backpack. Only 4 Dupont wires to make that work. And it leaves lots of spare pins on your Uno.


Or to put it another way, you must actually electrically connect the header strip to the LCD. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Also it appears that that breadboard has the broken power rails on the top and bottom. While that has no effect on the current wiring, it may in the future so it is something to watch out for. I jumper the breaks on most of my breadboards like that so the power rails are continuous.
