Alright, after wrestling with the code, learning how buttons work and switching from the max232 chip to the Sparkfun RS232 Shifter Board I've got the board turning the projector on and off with two different buttons! Now I've come to a strange issue. When I add a third button I can wave my hand near the Arduino and the board will act like a button has been pressed! Is this happening because I have too many wires crossing each other? I have a lot going back and forth on top of each other. Would using shorter or longer wire be better? (I'm using the pre-cut wires from Radio Shack) Do I need better shielded wires, different buttons? As always any suggestions would be appreciated.
