Hello everyone, everything good? I'm new to forum interactions as I usually just collected the information I needed and then left. But today is different, I'm here with a problem and I don't even know where to start. Going straight to the point, I work in a junkyard and I found a dozen 8.4 inch TFT LCD monitors, and then I thought "Hmm, if they are TFT LCD maybe I can use them with an Arduino?", the problem is that I don't know Where to start to do this, and actually my goal is to use it on a Wemos ESP32. Anyway, if anyone knows how to use the monitor in question I would appreciate any tips or direction. I will make some photos available too.
Technical Information I found:
Model: G084SN05-V9
Manufacturer: AUO
The first picture isn't clear, but it looks like some connections are marked, one with something that looks like a clock pin. Maybe taking a better picture of that area might give people some additional clues?
Sorry about low quality picture. I will send here a better one. And about a custom solution, can't i do nothing about this? This isnt like just another monitor? I dont know nothing about this things, sorry. One idea just run trought my head when i see this thing to improve one of my projects
Dude, I feel for you, I would try the same.
Unless you are able to get some specs or identify how it works, you may have a tough time making it work.
If it uses a protocol that is common, like SPI, and it’s not something proprietary, you have a chance, otherwise it will be hard without reverse engineering it, which may require a working unit…
Best of luck, try to post a detail of those markings, maybe someone can identify what it is.
