Good morning
I have a solar panel (rated 18v, 22w, max current 1A) which powers a step-down converter (HW-155, schematic is here)
This converter is adjusted to provide 14.5v output, with current limiting at 500mA (short-cicuit curren is 500mA).
Output of this converter is connected to charge protection module (HW-633, no schematic) which monitors the battery voltage (Lead acid Gel 12v is also connected to the protection module) and connects the converter to the battery terminals when battery voltage drops below 12.0v
Once voltage at battery terminals reach 14.1v the protection circuit disconnects the converter.
Is this setup Ok or not? Are the voltages (charging, "discharged", "full charge") and charging current acceptable?
Thank you!
