Learning Electronics

Hello everyone!

I got one of the experimentation kits from oomlout.com, and am having a great time going through the samples, and making things "do stuff". So far, it's been pretty straight-forward, haven't run into any snags, and... things just work!

My question is, where can I learn "what's actually happening". I know how to program in C, so the programming aspect is no problem. It's the actual physical stuff that I'm clueless about. I can make some assumptions by looking at the connections, but I'm an absolute newbie when it comes to electronics and electrical engineering.

Any references would be greatly appreciated! I'm reading a book about electricity at the moment (the title escapes me), but I'm wanting to read more

Thanks!

Possibly the Bible of electronics is this:-

That's exactly what I was looking for... thank you Mike! Also, I enjoyed reading some articles on your site... and am going to definitely re-read them when I can grok some of the fundamental concepts a little better
