Led 8x8 Matrix Word Scroll not working

I’m currently attempting to use the code from this link:

EDIT(Please note the author of the code does indeed state that it is free to use)
to test my Led Matrix on the Arduino Board I build. However, Once I happen to run the code the letter ’ H’ does not appear at all on my matrix, let alone the original here is the code and my circuit:
