LED CUBE

Hi everyone

I constructed a 4*4 IR led cube.can i control it using a single adruino uno board by using multiplexers or else digital IC's.

thanks for your response

4*4 IR led cube

A 2D cube?
With IR LEDs?
I'm curious . . .

Hi. Yes, an Uno will be suitable to control the cube, but some extra components will be required. This could be as little as 8 transistors (plus some resistors), or a max7219 IC for example. There are many ways to drive a cube including shift registers, multiplexers etc.

But, as AWOL has pointed out, if the leds are IR, how will you be able to tell if the cube is working?

Can test with a digital camera that is sensitive in the IR range.

But I don't get the point either.

I think AWOL's point was that it is a two dimensional cube?

These tend to be called squares not cubes.

...and also that it would be invisible unless viewed through a video camera.
